A Concerned Citizen takes Action
Welcome to my Congressional campaign! I'm Edward Crim, a longtime St. Louis photographer, family man (I have one wife and four children), and ordinary citizen. I'm running for U.S. Congress because I've had enough of the ruling political class and their disregard for the financial and political health of the world's greatest nation.
It's time to send a message to the national Democratic leadership that the ordinary people have had enough.
You can help me shake things up by voting for me in the August 3rd Democratic primary.
My family is from Virginia (where I got my BA in English); my wife and I moved to Missouri in 1982 and have lived in the same house in the City of St. Louis since 1986. Since that time I have been active as a deacon in my church, ministering to the needs of the poor, and have been an active in the work of one of the city's shelters for the homeless.
Having lived and traveled overseas (I grew up in South Korea, where my parents were teaching missionaries, and have visited Africa and Latin America) I have a clear vision of America's role as a beacon of liberty and opportunity to the rest of the world. I have been spurred to leave the private life that I love and step into the public arena of politics by the fiscal recklessness that characterizes our national leadership.
It is not only our nation's suicidal fiscal policies that concern me, though; we are also getting a failing grade in public education (particularly citizenship) and public works (infrastructure).
Our politicians have for years been buying their votes with our children's futures and the loans are now due. Join with me to take back the Democratic party and provide real leadership in Washington, D.C.
I am pro-business, pro-life and deeply concerned about the lives and struggles of average Americans.
